"Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others."
1 Corinthians 10:23-24
Statement of Faith
I. Holy Scripture
We believe the Holy Scriptures - the Old Testament and the New Testament - were
written by the men who were divinely inspired, are infallible, and recording God’s revelation of
truth. The Word of God is essential for our salvation, and displays God’s sovereign goodness and
His providential plan for all creation in Jesus Christ. The Bible is to be received through the
Holy Spirit as the supreme standard, authoritative rule and guide by which all human conduct,
faith and practice should be governed.
II. God
We believe in the One and only true, holy and living God, who is the Creator, Sovereign,
and Preserver of all things visible and invisible. We affirm the eternal God reveals Himself as
the Triune God, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinct Persons, but without division,
eternally One in nature, essence and power.
III. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the One and Only begotten Son of God and the eternal Word-
made-flesh in His incarnation as Jesus Christ, truly God and truly Man, and the only Messiah.
He lived a righteous life without sin, suffered His sacrificial and atoning death on the Cross, and
rose from the dead. Death and resurrection of Christ are the key events in the redemption of
mankind from sin and the new standing with God. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted
as Lord of all at the right hand of God, from which He shall return in power and glory to judge
the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. We affirm Jesus Christ alone is the
Mediator, Savior, ever-present Lord, Sanctifier and coming King.
IV. Humanity
We believe God created man in His own image, but man willingly sinned against God,
ushered sin and death into the world, is inclined to evil, and fallen from God’s righteousness.
Only the grace of God can bring fallen humanity into reconciliation and enable them to fulfill the
creative purpose of God: To become a new creation, God’s redeemed and beloved in Jesus
Christ.
V. Salvation
We believe salvation is a work of God’s grace and is offered freely to all who accept
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through repentance of sins to God and faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ. God is reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, in whom we are brought into a new
relationship of peace and favor with God by changing the direction of our lives from sin toward
God, receiving God’s forgiveness, and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives.
We affirm that salvation involves the redemption of a whole man in regeneration, sanctification
and glorification.
VI. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ and the fellowship of God’s people who
have responded to His call to follow Him, to love, worship, and serve Him. The Church includes
all of the believers of all the ages who are redeemed by God and confess Christ as their Savior
and Lord. Gathered by the covenant in faith, the Church is called to carry out Jesus’ Great
Commission: Winning the lost to Christ and making disciples of all nations. Each member is
called to cooperate and be accountable for the life of the Church and the ministry of Jesus Christ.
The two ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are administered in Hosanna Church.
VII. New Life in the Holy Spirit
We believe all who are by faith accepted to God’s family in His forgiving and
reconciling grace and baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit are expected to grow in grace.
Christ’s people are enabled to serve God with volition and affection and to live a holy, fruitful
and victorious life by the power of the indwelling Spirit of God. The fruit of the Spirit and all
good works for God spring from a true and living faith. Life in grace can be nurtured and
matured through the means of grace and by various gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to love
God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves along the
journey of the faithful life.
VII. Last Things

We believe Jesus Christ will return in glory and power, all the living in Christ will be raptured, all the dead will be raised, and Christ will judge according to Righteousness. Those who are judged righteous by their faith will be raised to life eternal in their eternal and glorified bodies and inherit the everlasting kingdom of God, reigning forever with the Lord Jesus. Those who are judged unrighteous will be subject to endless condemnation with Satan and the fallen angels. Therefore, we are looking forward to
the glorious appearance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to a new heaven and a new
earth, the home of righteousness.
